Possible New Moon Release date!

@_firstlady has posted this pic of what appears to be the release date for the New Moon DVD.

Don't know how "official" this is but do remember that Twilight came out in November as well and the DVD was released in March, a total of 4 months apart so I definitely think New Moon should be released around the same time as well.

Taylor Lautner might have another role on his hands

Taylor Lautner may be about to pin down another role.

Seemingly seconds after he booked yet another post-Jacob job, sources tell E! News that the 17-year-old actor is in talks to put his New Moon abs to good use in a remake of the 1985 drama Vision Quest.

Which is not what it sounds like—a cheesy sci-fi flick—but rather a coming-of-age romance that featured Madonna's "Crazy for You" as its theme song and starred Matthew Modine as a high school wrestling star who falls in love with an artist—a permtastic Linda Fiorentino—his dad has taken in as a boarder.

Why remake? Let's just re-release that! But Taylor may have another vision.

He could wind up playing an updated version of Modine's character in the still-in-development film, which counts Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen of Temple Hill Entertainment (and Twilight and New Moon fame) as producers. We hear that Richard Munic has penned a screenplay that is "very faithful" to the original Vision Quest.

"Taylor saw [the script] and is really excited about it," says a source. "It's very much in line with his athleticism. His character is someone who's striving for greatness."

A rep for Lautner didn't respond to a request for comment and Warner Bros., which owns the rights to Vision Quest, remained mum on whether it's considering the shirtless wonder for the lead, confirming only that the film is in development.

Paris Hiltons trues to cash into the "Twilight" franchise.

According to the National Enquirer, Paris Hilton recently “spotted two ‘Twilight’ producers lunching at West Hollywood eatery Mauro’s, so she darted over,” and said, “Hi, I’m Paris Hilton, and I’d love to audition for one of the leads in your next sequel!”

You still with us?

OK, the Enquirer then claims that after the producers told her, “We’ll get back to you,” Hilton tried to convince them by saying she could generate “lots of publicity” for the Saga because “everyone knows who I am.”

The supermarket tab reports one of the producers then said, “Thanks, but we have more than enough publicity as it is.”

Damn. Oh, snap!

However…

Gossip Cop called a slew of sources, and not one person could verify this story — probably because the encounter NEVER happened.

And a couple of other things: One, Hilton would never introduce herself by saying, “Hi, I’m Paris Hilton,” and two, is there anyone with a high-speed modem who isn’t familiar with her “work”?

Follow @GossipCop on Twitter and check out GossipCop.com for ACCURATE celebrity news!

Taylor: Stupid betch! i cant stand paris hilton! shes so fucking conceded, who would want o see her non-talented ass in a huge production?

5 things you might not have spotted in NM

MTV.com brings you five "spoiler-heavy" things you might have missed, even after your tenth time of seeing New Moon ;)

Read on:

Edward's Chameleon-Esque Car
If his lousy parking job distracted you, perhaps you didn't notice that when Edward pulled into Forks High, his famed Volvo was no longer gray, as it was in the novels and the first movie. Hey, Chris Weitz, what gives? "I've taken a real spanking for this, a lot of heat," the director explained. "I'll tell you exactly why: Volvo wanted to give us a new, different car so I didn't want to paint it exactly the same silver color, because then [Twilighters] would be saying, 'Why are they trying to say that it's the same car; it's obviously not.' So, I thought, 'Well, I'll choose a new color!' And I thought I would choose slate black, not a reflective black, because it actually absorbs light and it would reflect the mood and melancholy and depression [of his character]. I know I got it wrong, I apologize for that. But that is my reasoning."

A Newly Visible Victoria
In Stephenie Meyer's "New Moon" novel, the vengeful nomad Victoria is more of a long-distance threat than a regularly glimpsed monster. So, why is it that the movie has her lurking in the woods, swimming in the water and even killing a character? "Well, movies are such a visual medium," explained screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg, who also created a scene with Victoria driving that was ultimately cut after being filmed. "To just be talking about Victoria, or to be hearing about her, isn't visceral enough. You have to actually see her and see the threat that she is; I wanted to keep her alive throughout, so that you knew that the danger to Bella was alive. I also had so much fun writing for her — there are a couple of action moments in the middle of the movie that are really fun, and I really wanted to have her in there. It also keeps the pacing of the movie, to see her and to have those conflicts."

Grandma Is a Bloodsucker
As die-hard Twi-hards know, Chris Weitz's grandmother was an actress in one of the first "Dracula" films and is still going strong at age 99; his mother acted for two decades and was nominated for an Oscar in 1960. Since the movie opens with Bella seeing her own grandmother, why didn't Weitz offer one of his own family members the chance to act again? "How kind," he said at the thought. "But I think it would have been difficult for me to say, 'Mom, we would like you to play a woman who is so old that she horrifies Bella when she recognizes herself in the mirror' — I think [my Mom] has put movies behind her for good. And now, she just raises me and my brother."

How Did Taylor Do It?
If Taylor Lautner wanted to keep his job, he needed to get very muscular, very fast. Now that you've seen him with his shirt off you might be wondering: How can my boyfriend get that bod in less than a year? "Jacob transforms a lot in 'New Moon,' not only physically but mentally and emotionally as well. So, it was a matter of getting to the gym and eating the right foods," he explained. "I was in the gym about five days a week, because it's important to get your recovery time and not overwork yourself — I was trying to put on weight and If I was in the gym too much, I'd be burning the calories I was trying to take in. The other thing — the most important thing — was the eating side. Everybody thinks it was the actual getting in the gym — that was easy; I was motivated. Getting in the gym was easy for me, but the eating was pretty hard."

The Final Line
As you now know, "New Moon" ends with a very special proposal. But since it was different in Stephenie Meyer's novels, who decided to move it? "My thought was initially to save that for the next movie, because that movie's all about the triangle and Edward's proposal to Bella and her debate about whether to do it or not," Rosenberg explained, giving the credit to Weitz. "Chris realized — and I think rightly so — that belonged here. And it was a great way to go out of the movie."

Rob to play X-Men vilain "Magneto"?

In just the past few months alone, Robert Pattinson has been thrown into the casts of “Dune,” Vauxhall Crossed,” and “Yellow Submarine,” without a single audition – or interest.

The latest rumor claims “Pattinson wants to play X-Men Villain” Magneto.

According to the British OK!, Pattinson “now wants to jump from vampires to characters with superpowers” and “revealed his desire to play the mutant [Magneto] who is able to control and generate magnetic fields and is an arch-enemy of the X-Men.”

What you should know, however, is that Pattinson didn’t say he had interest in playing Magneto. He was simply responding to a leading question from an interviewer about whether he had “thought about playing a superhero sometime in the future?”

The tab reports that Pattinson said, “Well, yeah, I think everyone wonders about that sometimes. My little cousin tells me I look like Magneto, so I guess that’s who I should probably play.”

But since his kid cousin isn’t a casting director and Pattinson hasn’t really expressed an interest in playing Magneto — nor can a single person we’ve reach out to confirm it — Gossip Cop is going to put a big X across this story and add it to the “Pattinson False Rumor Role” file.

Kristen and Dakota "The Runaways"(New Still)

Of all the bands to come out of the 1970s Los Angeles music scene, The Runaways are by far the most uniquely fascinating. This is partially due to their music but more so to the fact that they were teenage girls whose wild and reckless lifestyle was the stuff of legend.

Focusing on the duo of guitarist/vocalist Joan Jett and lead vocalist Cherie Currie as they navigate a rocky road of touring and record-label woes, the film chronicles the band’s formation as well as their meteoric rise under the malevolent eye of an abusive manager.

Acclaimed video artist Floria Sigismondi directs from her own script and her luscious camerawork captures every sweaty detail—from the filthy trailer where the women practiced to the mosh pits of Tokyo. What really makes the film cook are the sizzling performances by Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart. Not to be missed, The Runaways is an ode to an era and a groundbreaking band.
Taylor: I must say, Kristen looks GORGEOUS!!!! Shes perfect for this role. Cant wait to se it<3

Dallas Howard talks replacing Rachelle on MTV

Anna Kendrick and Taylor lauter make top breakout stars of 2009

The equation for breakthrough star is quite simple: one part charisma, two parts talent and just a whole lot of luck. (Well, our formula might not be precise but you get the picture.) And the breakout performer must connect with an audience with a role that leaps off the screen.

2009 was a great year for breakout stars; here's our list of actors for whom 2009 will be just the beginning of a long, fruitful career.

10. Sharlto Copley
Making his feature film debut as the prawn-wrangler Wikus Van De Merwe in the sci-fi, sleeper-hit of the summer 'District 9,' South African-born Sharlto Copley proves a truly gifted action-comedian while dealing with the most absurd, Kafkaesque transformation. In his absolute commitment to character, Copley brings this outlandish predicament to life with such humorous desperation and unease, it feels shockingly real.
Next Up: The role of Captain Murdock in the cinematic reworking of the '70s TV staple 'The A-Team.'

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
9. Jeremy Renner
Largely known as a supporting player in TV and features throughout the past decade, Jeremy Renner literally exploded onto the scene this year as a bomb-defusing sergeant in Kathryn Bigelow's gritty, heart-stopper 'The Hurt Locker.' Renner's stoic yet devastating performance has lifted this once-benchwarmer into the big leagues. We're not the only big fans of Renner's star-making turn; the National Board of Review just handed him the nod for breakthrough male performer of the year.
Next Up: Starring in Ben Affleck's sophomore directorial effort 'The Town.'

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8. Zoe Saldana
You might recognize the stunning actress Zoe Saldana -- star of this year's mega-blockbuster 'Star Trek' and James Cameron's hotly anticipated 'Avatar' -- but you soon won't forget her name. Initially making her film debut as a hard-working ballerina in 2000's 'Center Stage,' Saldana utterly dazzles as the headstrong Uhura in J.J. Abrams's modern reboot of the sci-fi cult classic. Saldana has a great energy on the screen, which is further bolstered by her out-of-this-world looks.
Next Up: Cameron's 3D intergalactic epic 'Avatar' and the 2010-slated heist film 'Takers.'

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7. Anna Kendrick
Anna Kendrick has a lot going for her. She co-stars in that hit film series 'Twilight,' and just snagged a National Board of Review prize for her naively overconfident, quick-witted turn as a newbie firing-agent in Jason Reitman's 'Up in the Air.' At only 24, Kendrick has proved to be a mighty talent in both comedy and drama, garnering a heap of Oscar buzz going toe-to-toe with George Clooney in 'Air.'
Next Up: Edgar Wright's 'Scott Pilgrim vs. the World' and, of course, reprising her role as Jessica in 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.'

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6. Chris Pine
Alongside Saldana, the heartily charismatic Chris Pine boldly goes where no man has gone before in Abrams' 2009 hit 'Star Trek.' Stepping into what many would consider an iconic role, Pine undeniably surprises as the stubbornly courageous, and handsome, Captain James T. Kirk of the USS Enterprise. Having only co-starred in a handful or so of feature film roles before taking on 'Trek,' Pine fills William Shatner's shoes quite handily, and that's no easy task. (Trust me, no one wants to face the wrath of a Trekkie.)
Next up: Starring opposite Denzel Washington in Tony Scott's 'Unstoppable.'

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5. Sam Worthington
Anchoring both McG's blockbuster-sequel 'Terminator: Salvation' and the upcoming 'Avatar,' the ridiculously swoon-worthy Australian Sam Worthington is clearly having a great year. In his breakthrough role as the cyborg-with-a-heart Marcus Wright, Worthington manages to overshadow Christian Bale and utterly humanizes the nuts-and-bolts character. Worthington is not just a pretty face, he has a great cinematic presence, clearly one that commands much more dramatic work than just action fluff.
Next Up: The mythic role of Perseus in another mega blockbuster-in-waiting, the remake of 'Clash of the Titans.'

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4. Carey Mulligan
Oozing endless charm in her break-out performance in this year's Sundance hit 'An Education,' British actress Carey Mulligan has tinsel town talking Oscar. It's all due to her wonderfully nuanced performance. With the recent best actress honor bestowed upon her by the National Board of Review, Mulligan lands the enviable role of front-runner. Her film debut may have been somewhat innocuous as Keira Knightley's younger sibling in 'Pride & Prejudice,' but Mulligan's mature handling of such a tricky part in 'An Education' has landed her on the A-list of talented British actresses
Next Up: Reteaming with Knightley for 2010's 'Never Let Me Go' as well as Oliver Stone's 'Wall Street 2'

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3. Zach Galfianakis
At 40, Zach Galfianakis is quite a known commodity in the comedy and YouTube world, but it wasn't until his breakthrough performance as the awkwardly zany, baby-strapped Alan in 'The Hangover' that he was introduced to a mainstream film audience. Honing his routine for years in the comedy circuit, Galfianakis's unique brand of uncomfortable humor perfectly suits the film's off-kilter sense of comedy. Galfianakis may be the unlikeliest person on the list, but his boundless gifts as a comedy specialist place him tightly snug in the top three.
Next Up: The action-thriller 'Rogue's Gallery' and co-starring with Steve Carell in 2010's 'Dinner for Schmucks.'

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. Gabourey 'Gabby' Sidibe
Since someone had to take the unenviable position of number 2, it seemed fitting to give it to Gabourey 'Gabby' Sidibe, whose fearless performance as the down-and-out, struggling -- yet still hopeful -- Clareece 'Precious' Jones continues to amaze long after her celebrated Sundance premiere of 'Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire.' Sidibe is unquestionably spellbinding in the role, and snagged a National Board of Review for breakthrough performance. Clearly, our decision to place Sidibe near the top of the list was an easy one; her positively devastating debut is one of the most moving portrayals we've seen in years.
Next Up: The family drama 'Yelling to the Sky.'

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Taylor Lautner
Royally buffing up as the shapeshifting werewolf Jacob Black in the sequel 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon,' Taylor Lautner redefines teenage hunk in his breakout role. Graduating from Bella's long-haired admirer in the first film, Lautner is able to flex his muscles, quite literally, with a much larger, brooding part in the second vampire flick. There is a reason why Taylor beat out the rest of the notable names on this list for the top spot: sheer box office brawn. The Twihards have spoken: Team Jacob all the way -- well, for now at least.
Next Up: Reprising his role as Jacob Black in 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.'

New "Yellow Hankercheif" clip

KStew makes top 10 magazine covers of 2009

This is a hauntingly beautiful rendition of a visual pun — allusion meets illusion. The model for Interview’s 40th anniversary issue is actress Kristen Stewart, who currently stars in the monster hit Twilight series. Using her as the model is a masterstroke of celebrity-cover timing, perfectly executed. The image is two photos — if you pull back, you can see her holding over her own face a same-scale, torn black-and-white photo of her, whose only color is in her blood-red lips. The ghoulish makeup is perfectly in keeping with current fashion photography, and it serves the dual purpose of enhancing the metaphor while making her look drop-dead beautiful. A final touch: the allusion gets heightened by more blood, this time on the fanglike letter I in the logo. That’s why the lady is a vamp!

The cover came in at #9. Fantastic over indeed!

More "twilight" crime!

News hitting the press today is about 22-year old Samantha Tumpach who taped about 3 minutes of New Moon while on a surprise birthday trip for her sister and it may land her in prison for 3 years.

"The Chicago, Illinois-area woman captured three minutes of the film on her videocamera while taping part of her sister's surprise party at a Muvico theater in Rosemont.

Theater managers contacted police, who arrested Tumpach. She spent two days in jail. Now she faces a felony charge of illegally copying a movie.

'The motion picture industry has encouraged theater owners to adopt a 'zero-tolerance' policy prohibiting the video or audio recording of any portion of a movie,' Muvico Entertainment, which oversees the theater, told HLN's Prime News.

Attempts to reach Tumpach and any representation were unsuccessful.

Piracy has been an ongoing issue for the motion picture industry. The Motion Picture Association of America estimates that illegal piracy costs its business billions of dollars every year. Muvico said the group believes that hidden cameras in theaters are the direct source of more than 90 percent of all pirated movies.

Still, CNN legal analyst Lisa Bloom said three years appears excessive for the incident, if it should be prosecuted at all.

Illinois state law is fairly broad on this subject, she said, and she believes that it's a ridiculous distortion of the law to prosecute this young woman, who recorded only a few minutes of the film as part of a birthday video.'

Experts say the MPAA, and by extension Summit Entertainment, which produced New Moon, walks a fine line with cases like this.

Kelli Gillespie, an entertainment reporter for the CW, says the movie industry is trying to avoid a similar situation to what the music industry faced with illegal downloads and is trying to work with 'ever-changing technology that's available to so many consumers without alienating their fan base.'

What happens now? Muvico Entertainment says it's up to local police to determine Tumpach's future.

However, the MPAA or Summit Entertainment may want to step in to assist a fan, Gillespie says. It's in their best interest, she said, 'to figure out a way where you aren't punishing the consumer.' "

Jackson when he was 8!!

Our Chatbox regular Lautner-luvr discovered that Jackson went to the same school as her in 1992! She found a picture of him as an eight year old in the yearbook of international school of stavanger in norway. I didn't know Jackson lived in Norway! He's must of lived in quite a few places because he was born in Singapore and now lives in the US of A. Anyway here is a snippet of my email from Lautner-luvr and the adorable young Jackson picture:

so here's Jackson at eight. he was in second grade.
i asked the director - they used to call him Jay, so that's why his name isn't Jackson on that picture. They tend to mess names up a lot.

Rob to play John Lennon?

“Imagine Robert Pattinson as John Lennon,” an item in the Star item began, adding, “It’s easy if you try.”

As previously reported, the tabloid claimed Pattinson “is in talks with director Robert Zemeckis to play the late great Beatle in Disney’s 3-D remake of the classic cartoon Yellow Submarine.”

The story was picked up by numerous outlets, and there were elements that made it plausible: Pattinson is British, and has a fondness for writing and playing music.

Suffice to say, we reached out to EVERYONE, and it was a long and winding road, but a Disney rep who spoke directly with the filmmakers told Gossip Cop the rumor is absolutely “false.”
Taylor: I love Rob to the bones...but i cant see him play john lennon. yes he has all the talent in music and acting ang writing but they look nothing alike!..but who knows

Kristen, Robert and Taylor talk about Breaking Dawn movie deals

With the announcement that the fourth “Twilight” film will be split into two separate movies, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner are seeing dollar signs.

And according to a report, the “New Moon” stars are sticking together as they negotiate what will probably be an eight-figure deal for each “Breaking Dawn” installment.

For Pattinson, it will be a scheduling miracle for him to squeeze in both projects. He told press, “If everything goes as scheduled, in January I’ll be filming Bel Ami in Paris for 3 months, after which I’ll start filming the fourth and last Twilight movie Breaking Dawn. I’m pretty much booked for the next two years. I’ve got one week at the end of the summer to see my friend, whom in the end, I’ll forget even exists. It’s Crazy!”

And Taylor sounds optimistic about the whole thing. “I’m sure it would be different. It was definitely a surprise for me when I read the book. But we’re just trying to take it one movie at a time, and nothing’s been confirmed yet on the fourth, so we’re just staying focused on Eclipse at the moment.”

"The Twilight Saga" nominated for 2 Grammy's !!

With yet another notch in the belt that is The Twilight Saga. The Twilight and New Moon soundtracks have been nominated for 1 Grammy Award each at the January 31, 2010 awards ceremony. The nominations in question – Best Compilation Soundtrack Album for a Motion Picture, Television or other for New Moon and "Decode" by Paramore nominated for Best Song written for a Motion Picture, Television or other. Hopefully we might see one of Rob’s songs nominated for the Eclipse soundtrack. Congratulations to all involved, I have my fingers crossed for you.
